Schedule: Week 1: Monday–Wednesday, 07:00 – 19:00 | Week 2: Monday, Thursday, Friday, 07:00 – 19:00
Pay Rate: $19.00/hour
Employment Type: Temporary (Full-Time)
Averaging Agreement: After 88 hours

This temporary full-time position is ideal for dependable and motivated professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments. You will play an essential role in maintaining a secure, safe, and professional setting for employees, visitors, and property.

Responsibilities

• Conduct proactive and reactive security patrols throughout the site
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, professional manner
• Complete detailed and accurate incident reports
• Investigate routine security or safety concerns
• De-escalate situations involving disturbances such as loitering or altercations
• Enforce access control and ensure only authorized personnel enter restricted areas
• Monitor surveillance systems and maintain situational awareness
• Liaise with emergency responders, clients, and Paladin management as needed
• Intervene during medical emergencies and provide assistance
• Perform additional duties as assigned by site leadership

• Valid Security License for Ontario
• Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
• Successful completion of onboarding and site training
• Ability to stand for up to 12 hours per shift and complete extensive patrols
• Excellent English communication skills (oral and written)
• Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
• Applicants lacking these certifications may complete Paladin’s UoF/MOAB training before onboarding.
• Training is unpaid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin covers all costs with a 6-month commitment to the role.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada
