Location: Kingston, ON
Pay Rate: $22.14/hour
Employment Type: Temporary
Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Conduct proactive and reactive patrols across library premises
• Perform exterior patrols for the majority of the shift
• Respond to incidents promptly and professionally
• Enforce site rules and library policies
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain detailed notes
• Complete daily shift reports and incident investigations
• Control access and monitor activity
• Perform additional duties as assigned by site leadership

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
• Ability to stand and patrol for 6–8 hours per shift
• Fluent English communication skills (oral and written)
• Legally authorized to work in Canada

Nice to Have

• Certification in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
• Applicants lacking these certifications can complete Paladin’s UoF/MOAB training program prior to onboarding
• Note: This training is unpaid as it is a pre-requisite, but Paladin covers all costs with a 6-month commitment
