Terminal Manager

Midland Transport is currently seeking a Terminal Manager in Moncton Refrigerated DC. The Terminal Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of shipments by achieving on-time performance, maintaining a safe and incident-free operation, optimizing costs, and maximizing equipment utilization. This role also evaluates current transportation operations to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies.

• 
  Responsible for the attainment of; budgeted cost, safety, service, quality and utilization metrics for the transport and/or courier operations at the terminal.
   
• Accountable for the achievement of employee engagement at the Terminal. Also, responsible for managing direct reports to achieve or exceed budgeted performance. Finally, responsible for demonstrating excellent leadership characteristics and the Irving Values.
   
• Responsible for the implementation of the Irving Management System and a culture of continuous improvement at the Terminal.
   
• Contribute to business growth - such as, effectively working with the sales department to ensure new customers that are to be onboarded, meet the business needs of Midland.
   
• Accountable for the development and coaching of direct and indirect reports at the Terminal.

• Trade certification, or college diploma in logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 
   
• 4-7 years of progressive experience in transportation, logistics, terminal operations, or a related field, including leadership responsibilities. 
   
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively engage employees, customers, and senior management. 
   
• Excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced operational environment. 
  Proven people leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring, performance management, and team development. 
   
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a focus on safety, service, and operational excellence. 
   
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation management systems. 
   
• Working knowledge of transportation regulations, safety practices, and cost control principles.
