Job Description - Territory Sales Manager

Reporting to the Sales Director, the mandate of the Territory Manager is to promote Manulift products in the Edmonton area in a structured and strategic manner to drive growth in the region and surrounding areas. This role is perfect for a sales professional who can engage clients, quantify and verbalize a value proposition, and close the deal. The commission structure is uncapped, and the salary plan is designed to reward top performers with some of the highest salaries in the industry.

The ideal candidate will be disciplined and have experience in conducting product demonstrations. This candidate should be comfortable with frequent travel and be able to generate new sales leads regularly. The candidate should be able to keep track of their sales and effectively communicate with other team members while out in the field.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting and developing new clients, including cold calling;
  • Daily territory management; maintaining strong relationships with clients through visits to client work sites;
  • Planning and organizing sales strategies to achieve desired results and exceed equipment sales targets;
  • Communicate effectively with other members of team;
  • Generate potential leads for future sales;
  • Set and exceed quotas;
  • Preparing and presenting profitability analyses to demonstrate benefits and potential savings (ROI) to key decision-makers;
  • Identifying customer needs and reacting appropriately while understanding market conditions and the prices of local competitors;
  • Using the sales database in Salesforce CRM to ensure that information is updated daily;
  • Following up after sales.

Experience and Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in field sales/external sales positions;
  • Good knowledge of the construction industry and its heavy equipment;
  • Valid driver's license;
  • Demonstrated skills in prospecting for new clients;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly develop professional relationships;
  • Strong motivation to achieve results;
  • Autonomy, structure, and organizational capacity;
  • Experience using a CRM.
