THCC - Family Nurse Practitioner - In Clinic Calgary, AB

The TELUS Health Care Centre Calgary clinic is looking for Nurse Practitioners to practice to their full scope with a strong focus on pediatrics and young adults.

Locations: TELUS Health Care Centre – 906 16 Avenue SW, Suite 301, Calgary, Alberta T2R 0T3

Schedule:  In clinic day shifts only, no evenings or weekends.

Remuneration: This is a contractor role starting at $95/hour based upon experience

As a TELUS Health Care Centre Nurse Practitioner you will:

·      Deliver evidence based primary care through assessment, ordering diagnostic tests, performing procedures, prescribing pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies, and initiating specialist referrals

·      Deliver episodic and longitudinal care

·      Provide regular patient follow up to promote health and educate on disease prevention and management

·      Collaborate with other nurse practitioners, registered nurses, physicians and the allied health team members to foster a team-based, interdisciplinary approach

·      Make internal and external referrals as appropriate

·      Opportunities to deliver complex and specialized care, including but not limited to; prenatal care, pediatric health & wellness, chronic disease prevention and management

What you need to join our clinic:

·      Masters of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP) degree or equivalent, with a post-Master's diploma (PMD)

·      Current registration as a practicing Nurse Practitioner with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)

·      Nurse practitioner category: Family Nurse Practitioner preferred

·      Active, unrestricted provincial license(s) with prescribing and/or lab numbers

·      Active CPR AED Level C certification

Preferred

·      2+ years of primary care experience preferred

·      Exceptional organizational skills, with a positive and results-focused attitude

·      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and patients

·      Proficiency in technology-supported care, including familiarity with EMRs

·  Commitment to delivering comprehensive patient-centered care with a focus on an exceptional customer experience and achieving the best possible outcomes
