Sheet Metal Worker
(1 position, Category A salary)

Requirements:

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent


• Basic welding skills – CWB certification


• Experience and/or training in the field is an asset


• Must be detail-oriented and committed to quality workmanship


• Ability to read technical production drawings


• Ability to use a computer to perform required tasks


• Physical ability to carry and handle materials manually


• Ability to use a measuring tape


• Ability to read


• Good manual dexterity


• Ability to learn and work effectively in a team environment

Main Responsibilities:

• Successfully pass the CWB welding test (flat horizontal fillet weld) for aluminum


• Understand basic welding symbols


• Understand and apply practical welding methods


• Inspect, clean, and prepare parts and equipment for welding


• Work accurately to assemble metal parts using appropriate equipment and/or tools


• Set up and operate machines to cut sheet metal or aluminum


• Shape metal/aluminum according to dimensions specified in technical drawings


• Inspect completed work and verify compliance with required specifications


• Ensure compliance with company safety standards


• Perform any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
