We’re looking for a Trade Compliance Specialist

The Trade Compliance Specialist primarily assists with auditing, monitoring and due diligence efforts associated with sanctions and export compliance. The Trade Compliance Specialist must be organized, efficient and flexible; work well under pressure; understand highly technical products and services; develop strong, cross-functional partnerships; and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

How you will make an impact:

The following represent the key responsibilities of the role as they exist today. This role may expand to include responsibilities that may be new to the Trade Compliance Specialist.

Auditing and Monitoring (40%)

Generates and analyzes reports that inform auditing and monitoring efforts related to export declaration filings and reports. Generates regular KPI and metrics dashboards for the Trade Compliance program.

Due Diligence (40%)

Provides first line analysis of due diligence responses received from third parties on their trade compliance controls (e.g., freight forwarders, brokers, sales partners, direct and indirect suppliers). Performs proactive sanctions checks as requested by Sales for prospective new customers in jurisdictions with higher sanctions risk. Researches and clears holds in order fulfillment systems. Provides support and liaises with IT as needed to add gating or automation where needed to ensure compliance with sanctions programs.

Export Licensing and Filing (10%)

Assists Trade Compliance managers as needed with licensing applications for controlled products and export filings.

Other (10%)

Partners with the Director, Trade Compliance and VP, Compliance to mature Entrust’s Trade Compliance program. Participates in special projects related to sanctions and export compliance as needed.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in international trade, international business or related

• 3+ years of applicable experience

• Must be able to lawfully work within the jurisdiction where the colleague resides

• Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent navigation skills in Oracle

• Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel

• Basic understanding of export controls pertaining to Group 1, Category 5 – Part 2 goods
