  • Mentor and support apprentices to foster their growth and trade skill development.

  • Keep workspaces clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

  • Conduct pre-trip and pre-use inspections on mobile welding units; identify and report equipment issues.

  • Maintain accurate records of completed work, parts used, and time allocations

  • Perform any additional tasks  to support team and project goals.

Your Qualifications & Skills

  • Valid British Columbia Class 3 driver’s license with air-brake endorsement and a clean driving record is an asset.

  • Completion of a registered welding apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience; full Red Seal certification is an asset.

  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, including cutting, gouging, grinding, and other metal-working techniques.

  • Solid understanding of welding standards (e.g. AWS, ASME), metallurgy, and material selection.

  • Skilled in reading and interpreting detailed shop drawings, CAD/CAE designs, and technical blueprints.

  • Experience operating CNC plasma tables—setting up jobs, adjusting parameters, loading/unloading, and conducting finish work.

  • Strong communication skills; ability to work independently or collaborate effectively across teams.

  • Proficiency in understanding CAD software ability to create/interpret 2D/3D designs, weldment models, and detailed shop drawings.
