Traffic Planner

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a vital member of our operations team, the Traffic Planner will be responsible for designing traffic accommodation strategies and plans for projects scaling from simple one-lane temporary road closures to large-scale highway traffic diversions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interpret construction drawings and specifications from customers


• Prepare work plans and packages as required


• Create traffic plans using RapidPlan and/or AutoCAD


• Create traffic accommodation strategies and technical reports for customers


• Provide field support to the operational team for questions regarding traffic plans or strategies


• Review and analyze data relative to the project


• Complete plans and perform specification reviews for projects


• Support and assist the sales team with preparation of tenders or bids for work

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Preferably, undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related degree


• 2-5 years previous experience working in infrastructure or heavy civil projects or road safety projects


• Previous experience with design and drafting software; preferably RapidPlan or AutoCAD


• Preferably, experience in SAP


• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills


• Team player with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines, goals, and objectives

HOURS OF WORK:

Daily schedule may vary depending upon operational needs.  However, general office hours would be 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday.
