Job Description - Training Lead - 6 month contract

The Training Lead is responsible for developing and managing comprehensive training strategies, plans, and activities. This role requires a minimum of three (3) years of experience in training leadership or management, as well as the ability to design and execute impactful training programs that meet organizational needs.

This is an initial 6 month contract, extendable up to 24 months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Application Retrofit Lead to document and address impacts across all interface levels (primary, secondary, tertiary).
  • Lead the development and execution of the overall training strategy, including detailed planning and implementation.
  • Oversee training development activities and provide regular status updates.
  • Define and curate the training curriculum to meet organizational goals.
  • Design and deliver an effective End User Training program.
  • Develop, schedule, and coordinate end-user training sessions (pre- and post-go-live) and manage logistical requirements.
  • Configure SAP Enable Now templates, development parameters, and processes.
  • Establish the evaluation approach for training programs.
  • Manage the Train-the-Trainer program to ensure knowledge transfer.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of training materials to maintain high standards.
  • Implement processes and tools to collect feedback from training sessions and address actionable insights.
  • Oversee all aspects of training logistics.
  • Develop a process for ongoing post-go-live training and support activities.

Qualifications and Skills
Mandatory Requirements:

  • A bachelors degree in Education, Training, Instructional Design, or a related field.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in a training leadership or management role.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and delivering effective training programs.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in creating training materials such as manuals, presentations, and e-learning content.
  • Experience with training authoring tools and learning management systems (LMS).
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team of trainers and instructional designers.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience delivering training in public sector environments.
  • Proficiency in facilitating in-person and virtual training sessions, with the ability to tailor delivery methods to diverse audiences and learning styles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with blended learning approaches and the use of technology in training delivery.
  • Relevant certifications in training, instructional design, or education.
