International Bulk Services (IBS), a wholly owned subsidiary of CN, operates transloading terminals across Canada and the United States. The terminal specializes in transferring bulk commodities and industrial materials between railcars and trucks using conveyor systems, heavy equipment, and specialized terminal machinery.
Summary:
This full-time position, the Transloader is responsible for loading and unloading bulk commodities and industrial materials between railcars and trucks, operating conveyor systems and material handling equipment, assisting with rail switching activities, and supporting safe and efficient terminal operations.
Main Job Responsibilities including but not limited to:
Including but not limited to:
Load and unload products and materials to and from railcars, locomotives, and trailers.
Operate gantries and related equipment, including Ske Eye, Safe Rack, RBT systems, conveyor belts, and other yard equipment as required.
Operate material handling equipment to move products throughout the terminal safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard and work environment, and regularly checking equipment.
Follow all yard rules, safety regulations, and PPE requirements.
Accurately complete all required paperwork, logs, and operational records.
Follow terminal processes and procedures related to product transfers, quality assurance, safety, and daily operations.
Complete all required training and certifications necessary to perform duties safely and effectively.
Assist with railcar switching activities and other terminal operations as required.
Candidate Profile:
High school or GED equivalent
Experience operating front-end loaders, forklifts, or similar heavy equipment.
Experience loading and unloading trailers, railcars, lumber, pipe, steel coils, or other industrial materials considered an asset
Experience with railcar switching operations is considered an asset.
Equipment operation experience an asset (Gantries including Ske Eye, Safe rack, RBT, Conveyor belt, Crane, Track Mobile)
Able to climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs: physically fit.
Experience loading trailers/railway cars an asset.

Looking for experience with flammables, pumps, fall arrest, pressurized gases
Has delt with TDG
Ideally has loaded or handled Propane or like products(Butane, Diesel or Gas)
Mechanically inclined
Physical able to climb up and down Gantries
Possibly commercial driver
Has worked with tankers, trucks or rail
Able to pass pre-employment Drug and Alcohol screening & Criminal Background Check
