Experience:

1 year to less than 2 years or equivalent experience

Tasks:

1. Evaluate daily operations


2. Monitor department's performance


3. Plan and organize daily operations


4. Plan for changes to schedules and policies


5. Prepare reports for senior management


6. Recruit staff


7. Supervise staff


8. Train staff


9. Manage finances or budget


10. Arrange for shipping documentation and the tracking and tracing of goods in transit


11. Ensure transport compliance with regulations


12. Establish and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods


13. Negotiate for services and preferential rates


14. Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods


15. Oversee the setting of transportation service rates and monitor revenue


16. Organize and maintain inventory


17. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption

1 to 2 people
