Job Description - Treasury Associate

The Role The Treasury Associate will play a key role in supporting and optimizing the treasury operations at Ascent Developer Solutions. This position is responsible for assisting with daily treasury activities, contributing to financial strategies, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations, all to help maintain the company's financial health and operational efficiency. The Work Cash and Liquidity Support: Assist in the development and execution of cash management and forecasting capabilities ensuring operational liquidity needs are satisfied. Banking and Funding Coordination: Work collaboratively with internal teams and third-party capital providers to ensure timely and accurate execution of loan fundings and financings. Support the documentation and tracking of credit facilities and funding arrangements. Operational Support: Execute and refine treasury processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Maintain borrower base reports, assist in compliance with loan agreements and facility covenants. Data Flow Coordination: Assist in mapping and optimizing data flow processes within treasury operations to improve transparency and operational efficiency. Risk and Compliance Monitoring: Support the monitoring of financial risks related to treasury operations. Assist in ensuring adherence to internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements. Identify and address discrepancies in financial records and reports. Documentation Maintenance: Assist in the implementation and refinement of treasury policies and procedures in alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements. Maintain and update documentation ensuring consistency and adherence to established guidelines. Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with teams across Credit, Legal, Technology, Data Analytics, Operations, Construction, and Finance to support cohesive capital management strategies. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and distribute reports on treasury activities, cash positions, and financial risks. Provide detailed insights and assist in creating recommendations for management. Your Skills and Experience   Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Managerial Accountant (CMA) preferred. At least 2 years of experience in treasury or financial operations within a regulated financial environment, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in structured finance and securitizations. Accounting and Finance: Robust understanding of theoretical and practical accounting and finance concepts, including cash flow management, risk assessment, and financial reporting. Structured Finance and Securitizations: Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience with structured finance instruments and securitization processes, crucial for managing complex financial structures. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in financial modeling using Excel. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. The Pay Salary range is $110,000-$125,000 per year, with a discretionary bonus adding up to 15% per year The Work Environment This role works on-site from Ascent's Encino office, Monday - Thursday (Fridays are work-from-home). Full-time, 40 hours per week; must be available for occasional overtime. Some nights and weekends required.
