Truck/Transport and Trailer Mechanic $2,000 Sign-On Bonus National Tank Services, a division of Trimac Transportation, is looking for a Journeyman Mechanic for our team in Kamloops, BC. Pay: Journeyman Truck Mechanic starting wage $42.92 /per hour, based on 40 hours per week Shift premiums available: $2.00 for weekends, $2.00 for afternoon shifts, $2.50 graveyard, $2.00 for lead hands $.50 for CVI ticket $2,000 Sign-On Bonus ($1,000 paid after 90 days, $1,000 paid after 120 days) Relocation Incentive Offered Shift/Hours: Rotating shift: 8 or 10-hour shifts available Monday - Friday 7:00 am- 3:30 pm (different shift options available to accommodate if necessary) Benefits: Extended health benefits. Pension plan. $1,000 tool and boot allowance annually. Toolbox provided after 3 months. 13 paid PTO days annually. Winter jacket andmolded ear protection provided. About the Position: Performs trailer repair- preventative maintenance, electrical work, brakes, and suspension. Performs tractor repair- preventative maintenance,electrical work, brakes, suspension, engine diagnostics, general running repairs; PTO. Owns basic tools required for the position. Responsibilities: Professionally maintain equipment. Follow policies & procedures. Work safely, using directed PPE. Complete tasks in a timely fashion as per the Standard Repair Time Guidelines. Maintain fleet equipment. Drive and Shunt equipment. Skills: Operation of hand tools. Operation of air tools. Strong and reliable work ethic. Positive attitude and job performance. Requirements: Training to obtain Journeyman Red Seal status. May work above shoulder level with power and /or hand tools weighing 15 pounds or less and in confined spaces. Must meet the physical requirements of the position and have mobility, vision, hearing, sense of smell, and dexterity levels appropriate to the duties performed. May stand and walk on level and uneven surfaces, twist, bend, push, pull, crouch, climb stairs, bend and crawl, grasp, drag, lift, and carry items weighing 50 lbs. or less. Must be willing and able to work at heights up to 15 feet.
