What you’ll do:
Our turf & utility sales consultant will be tasked with servicing a territory of consumer and commercial customers selling John Deere lawn and garden equipment. You will be given the autonomy to grow the business how you see fit with the support of the dealer group as a resource to help establish the growth of our turf department. You will be tasked with:
Covering a territory and selling John Deere lawn and garden equipment
Greet customers in the store, over the phone and out in the country to establish and maintain relationships
Use an entrepreneurial approach to establish and identify opportunities for long-term sales growth
Make tenders to municipalities and other commercial enterprises to establish fleet opportunities
Provide support to farmers to ensure they are able to have success during critical points of the season
We operate in a cyclical environment that requires extended hours during the farming season including evenings and weekends
What you bring:
Self-motivation and a drive to sell, with excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail
Capability to learn and demonstrate features on select products
Comfortable in the use of computers and technology, to serve customers in a professional manner
Ability to build relationships before and after a sale
Motivated by personal selling approach, which occurs in the store and in the field
