Underground Mining Electrician

Noble is seeking hard working, motivated individuals to join our team as an electrician in the fast-paced mining industry. The successful individuals will be responsible for working as part of the Noble team to help develop and maintain the construction sites. 

Position Title: Electrician 

Location: Mosaic K3 Underground 

Position Type: This is a project-specific position with an anticipated duration of approximately 6 months.

Schedule: Employees will work a two-week on two-week off night shift rotation.

Travel/LOA: Compensation provided to and from the work site for each turnaround, provided all company travel eligibility requirements are met. As well as a daily living out allowance for employees who meet and provide eligibility requirements. 

Closing: Position will remain open until a successful candidate is hired

Responsibilities:

Various electrical construction installations including but not limited to: 

• Experienced in performing 3M cable splicing 


• Proficient in high-voltage stress cone installations 


• Skilled in trouble shooting underground electrical equipment


• Skilled in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics


• Capable of executing glanding and cable terminations 


• Experienced in messenger cable installation
  


• Capable of mounting and securing electrical equipment


• Various equipment installation (motors, switchgear, transformers)
  


• Proficient in the installation of strut channel systems


• Participation in safety meeting and toolbox talks with supervision, crews and clients


• Gathering and staging various materials to complete construction task
  
  
  

Education and Experience:

• Journeyperson Electrician
  


• 600v to 25kv experience


• Trained in operating mobile equipment (Telehandlers, AWP, Etc)


• General Mine Safety Awareness is an asset


• Fall protection is an asset


• Computer skills


• Organizational, presentation and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work 12-hour shifts nights 


• Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing is required


• 3+ years of relevant work experience in an underground mine environment

• Ability to work 12-hour shifts night shift
