Unreal 3D Layout and Previz Supervisor: Undisclosed Project

Guru Studio is crewing up for an exciting new CG shorts series and we're looking for an experienced Unreal 3D Layout and Previz Supervisor to help us bring this new world to life.

You’ll be joining a vibrant entertainment company known for creating, developing and producing award-winning, hit shows such as True and the Rainbow Kingdom for Netflix, the smash-hit PAW Patrol, Mattel’s Ever After High; and our own Emmy Award nominated series Justin Time. Our studio also contributed visual development on the Academy Award nominated animated feature The Breadwinner.

This position will be reporting to the show's Producer

Responsibilities:

• Assign, supervise, review and revise the work of the previz and layout teams
  


• Implements recommendations with expertise both technically and artistically for the completion of the project


• Oversee shot creation, storytelling, composition, staging and initial camera set-up


• Attend and actively participate in production meetings and director reviews


• Accountable for on time, flawless execution and delivery of up to date previz and layouts throughout production


• Work with directors, asset and animation teams to reach the intended look of the show


• Maintain and manage the Reuse library


• Help define/redefine the previz and layout pipeline for the show/studio
  


• Help develop new and existing tools, software and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Layout / Previz experience on an Unreal project
  


• Experience in Supervising a Layout team
  


• Diploma in computer animation, or applicable work experience 
  


• 3D software knowledge in an industry standard package
  


• A portfolio demonstrating an understanding of composition, staging, and cinematography
  


• Experience as an animator is considered a major asset
  


• Design, photography, and architecture abilities are also considered major assets.
