Job Description - Videographer

Responsibilities

  • Travel to Ontario-based studio for CEO tours and other special events. 
  • Filming video on set and on location 
  • Working with creative teams and clients to plan video shoots 
  • Setting up and taking down cameras, microphones, lighting, props and other equipment 
  • Editing footage after recording 
  • Adding computer graphics, closed captioning and special effects to footage 
  • Preparing background film, also called “B-rolls”   
  • Showcase both technical expertise and creative insight to effectively collaborate with project teams and work independently, ensuring the highest quality outcomes.  
  • Establish a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of the video's creation 
  • Provide direction and technical requirements to external videographers for video productions. 
  • Work closely with the marketing team to craft visually compelling creative stories under tight deadlines. 
  • Syncing audio and converting footage into proper file formats. 
  • Transforming footage and narrative scripts into powerful visual stories and highly kinetic pieces for screens of all sizes. 
  • Diligence in using proper naming formats and keeping content as organized as possible. 
  • Rendering, exporting, and adding closed captions. 
  • Reordering and fine-tuning the content to ensure logical sequencing and smooth running. 
  • Delivering a quick turnaround on requested internal and external (client) revisions. 
  • Create closed captions for videos. 
  • Managing and archiving all the edited and raw videos & project files of CEO Tours, sprint releases, ads events and announcements etc. 
  • Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency. 

 

Skills & Qualifications:  

  • Ability and willingness to travel to Ontario-based studio as needed for CEO tours and special events. 
  • Ability to multitask and work toward several milestones on various projects simultaneously  
  • Creative thinking with an excellent eye for detail 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with clients and members of the production team 
  • Knowledge of post-production techniques 
  • Physical ability to move and hold recording equipment for long periods 
  • Understanding of computer software used for planning, editing and scripting 
  • Bachelor's degree in film editing or related degree is required 
  • Professional mastery of video and audio editing software and programs 
  • Creative experience in filmmaking and videography 
  • Ability to understand the desired outcome of a project when meeting with clients and the ability to bring them to life 
  • Experience editing various video projects and inserting sound effects, music and transitions 
  • Proficient in creating concept boards and other visual representations of planned edits for video projects 
  • Excellent communication skills are required to have a solid understanding of project scope and implementation 
  • Ability to collaborate well with other creative professionals to supply clients with top-notch finalized products
