Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Oversee small account platform by managing assigned mutual fund portfolio
Proactively work to retain and expand existing member relationships while pursuing new sources of business.
Provide basic financial and investment solutions for new and existing Credit Union members.
Operate as the primary contact for assigned members, managing the relationship on behalf of the credit union to ensure all members’ needs are met
Identify holistic member needs/goals and refer identified non-mutual fund sales and service opportunities to the appropriate Credit Union experts.
Provide members with basic planning strategies, including but not limited to retirement, education, asset allocation and risk management.
Work in close collaboration with the consumer branch network to establish trusted internal relationships to foster a steady stream of referrals
Actively take part in meetings, planning and training initiatives, sharing information and ideas to build organizational achievement and success.
Build the Credit Union’s profile in the community as a professional provider of wealth management products, services, and expertise.
Maintain thorough knowledge of and adhere to credit union policies and procedures on risk management, confidentiality, security, and fraud prevention.
Maintain thorough knowledge of and adhere to Credential Asset Management policies and procedures as outlined in the CAM compliance manual.
Essential Qualifications
Valid Investment Funds in Canada (IFC) or Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
Newly licensed with financial services experienced
Must be able to license in good standing
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to motivate others and work within a dedicated team environment
Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform well under pressure
Ability to prioritize using sound judgement to make timely and effective decisions
Thorough understanding of a variety of investment products and services including mutual funds, term deposits, and registered investment products
Basic understanding of financial planning concepts
Ability to follow standardized policies and procedures
Knowledge of risk management within the financial industry
Proficient computer skills
Note: This is a remote position however the successful candidate must reside in Manitoba.
