About this opportunity:

The Warehouse/Inventory Technician, Materials Management, functions as a team member of the Materials Management and Operational Logistics Department for Cenovus onsite. They are responsible to ensure that other team members in the warehouse are supporting the following functions within the department: Warehouse, Asset Recovery adherence, Master Data usage, Customs & Logistics provide enabling services to our customers via an approach that is collaborative, effective, efficient, reliable, visible & accurate, accountable, compliant, and Safe (above all else), all in support of achieving SCM’s ultimate goal of getting the right material or service to the right place, the right way, at the right time for the right price in a way that aligns, enables & supports functional departments.

FOSTER CREEK

  • This is a full-time employee position working a shift of 11 hours 25 mins per day, 7 days on, 7 days off, first and last day 5 hours 42 mins per day. Thursday to Thursday

  • Foster Creek has full-service camp facilities

  • Foster Creek is a fly in/ fly out remote camp-based position

  • Depending on your place of residence and your shift rotation, bus and/or air transportation to/from site is offered from designated departure points in select locations

  • Foster Creek is serviced by flight Hubs in Calgary and Edmonton

What you’ll do:

  • Implement the operations of Warehouse, Asset Recovery, Master Data Entry, Customs & Logistics & Master Data functions within the department

  • Ensure inventories held are led & distributed in a way that most effectively balances the preservation of capital yet fulfills customers need in a Just in Time Manner wherever practicable

  • Collaborate with our key internal & external Stakeholders to ensure early alignment of priorities

  • Implement & support the accurate capture and access to master data and inventories are used to reduce working capital, increase reuse/realize surplus sales and optimize materials management

  • Follow all shipping and receiving specifications, SCM and Cenovus quality related processes and procedures

  • Contribute to ensuring all operations of Warehouse & Chemical Management areas operate safely and in manner that is in adherence to corporate polices, standards and all applicable regulatory body codes and requirements

  • Implement effective, efficient systems and processes that are in place for the Materials Management team, so we can support and provide reliable, safe and timely delivery of goods and services

  • Support the execution of Category Strategy, the development of a Demand Driven Supply Network and the ongoing Collaborative Planning Forecasting and Replenishment activities that come in tow

  • Implement the team's vision, mission, functional business plan and goals & objectives in a manner that ensures line of site and alignment to Customer, Function and Values and objectives

  • Adhere to and accurate execution of all Customs and Logistics policies, procedures and required documentation

  • Participate with the team to take a leading approach to health and safety, capture and share our findings readily, and adhere to the Live Saving Rules and support the embedment of an Interdependent Safety Culture

Who you are:

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

  • Must have a High School Diploma

  • A minimum of 3 years relevant Warehouse/Inventory Technician experience

  • Forklift experience and valid operators license required

  • Experience using SAP

  • Capable of working independently in a fast-paced work environment with dynamically shifting priorities and deadlines

  • Outstanding interpersonal, organization and time management skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this role will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments

For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate
