West Fraser offers a range of exciting career opportunities for individuals seeking challenging and rewarding careers. Our Pacific Inland Resources Division is currently recruiting for a Certified Welder position.

You'll Do:

• Maintain a safe work environment.


• Ensure reliable and consistent operation of equipment.


• Perform maintenance on pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers, chains, bearings and hydraulic equipment involved in the manufacturing process.


• Undertake preventative maintenance activities on equipment.


• Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to repair equipment.


• Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during assembly, installation, setup and repair activities.


• Repair and assemble hydraulic equipment and cylinders.


• Verify and document completed repairs.

You Have:

• Valid Journeyperson Welding Certification.


• Three or more years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.


• Ability to work independently without constant supervision.


• Strong organizational and planning skills to prioritize daily and weekly tasks.


• The knowledge and skills to recognize opportunities for improvements and cost savings.

Compensation Package: The hourly pay rate for this position may vary depending on experience, education, and location.
