Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nWelding Setup and Piercing Unit Operator (Temporary, Full Time)\n\n \nShift: 1st shift\n\n \nEaton\u2019s Cooper B-Line, Calgary is currently looking for a high-energy, results-oriented individual that works well in a team for a temporary opportunity in the Calgary facility. \n \n\n\nJob Duties and Responsibilities \n \n\n\nBelow is a general overview of the job duties and responsibilities of a Cooper B-Line, Calgary Setup and Punch Press Operator: \n\u2022 Operates both stationary hydraulic and portable electric piercing units, performs basic changeovers and daily maintenance of the piercing units \n\u2022 Performs quality compliance checks of the rail, as well as deburring if necessary \n\u2022 Carries sets of rails and rungs to the welding fixtures \n\u2022 Sets up rails and rungs on the cable tray welding fixtures according to specifications, clamps the assembly for welding, cleans weld residue, and checks for QA compliance \n\u2022 Removes final cable tray assembly and carries to the packing area \n\u2022 Operates strapping tools to package cable tray bundles \n\u2022 Participates in daily 6S activities (light cleaning and organizing of fixtures, tools, and work area) \n\u2022 Participates in Weekly 6S activities (deep cleaning and organizing of fixtures, tools, and work area) \n\u2022 Other duties as assigned to maintain an efficient workflow throughout department \n\u2022 The job requires repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs, bending, walking, and standing for duration of the shift\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nBasic qualifications:\n\n\u2022 High school diploma or GED from an accredited school. \n\u2022 Must reside within 80km of the Calgary facility. . \n\u2022 Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.\n\n \nPreferred Requirments:\n\n\u2022 Ability to read and interpret product drawings \n\u2022 Mechanical aptitude \n\u2022 Experience in MIG welding would be an asset \n\u2022 Forklift experience would be an asset \n\n## Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:\n\nPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions:\n\n\u2022 Must have the ability to stand on feet continuously and regularly lift 50 lbs without assistance. \n\u2022 Must be able to wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE). \n\u2022 May be exposed to high levels of noise and temperatures greater than 25 degrees Celsius.\n\nSkills \n\nRequired Knowledge and Skills:\n\n\u2022 Ability to work effectively in a team environment. \n\u2022 Ability to follow instructions and procedures with little guidance. \n\u2022 Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.\n\nAt Eaton we leverage artificial intelligence to recommend jobs to you that match the skills and experience required for the open role.
