We are looking to add an Automotive Parts Counter person to our Norwich location.

NAPA Auto Parts Norwich offers a wide range of replacement parts, accessories, supplies, tools, equipment, and quality products for automotive, industrial, and farm. If you have good knowledge of automotive operating systems and repairs and are passionate about the parts business, we want you!

The Responsibilities:

• Responsible for accurately looking up parts with NAPA PARTS PRO SE computer systems as well as paper catalogues and other methods
• Sells a diverse line of automotive and industrial products to wholesale and retail customers either on the phone or over-the-counter
• Processes sales and refunds transactions with accuracy using cash, debit and credit cards
• Effectively communicates product features, benefits and warranty policy to customers
• Maintains store organization and cleanliness
• Picks orders accurately
• Works effectively as parts of a team; demonstrate a positive, helpful attitude

The Skills and Qualifications:

• Automotive aftermarket experience, an asset - but willing to train right person
• Strong knowledge of automotive operating systems and repairs
• Knowledge of farm supply and industrial supply
• Excellent verbal, written and listening skills
• Familiar with use of computers and electronic catalogues
• Quick learner with good retention
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Professional image and effective customer service skills
• Must be able to work on your feet up to 8 hours per day
• Able to work flexible hours, including Saturdays
• Hours: We are open Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. You must be available for an 8 hour shift between these times. You will also be required to work alternating Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
