Merovitz Potechin LLP is seeking a Wills & Estates Law Clerk to join our growing team.

Summary of position:

The ideal candidate will assist lawyers with a wide variety of will and estates matters.  Work includes, but is not limited to organizing and independently managing client files; using the firm’s internal document management system; interacting directly and diplomatically with counsel and other legal professionals outside of the firm, as well as with clients; and drafting documents, coordinating meetings, scheduling, and processing of accounts, corresponding with clients and external professionals, drafting documents

Required Qualifications:

• Law Clerk or Paralegal degree or a significant amount of wills/estates work experience


• Minimum of 3 years experience working in the area of wills and estates


• Good verbal and written communication skills


• Superior interpersonal skills to interact with employees, lawyers, clients and external agencies


• Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision


• Professional, responsive and positive work attitude


• Ability to maintain filing systems and basic databases


• Meticulous records maintenance skills
