Yard Clerk

Job Summary

The position holder welcomes and efficiently responds to customer needs in the lumber yard in a personalized and courteous manner. They verify the accuracy of orders and handle complaints and returns. They receive merchandise from various suppliers using a forklift. They restock shelves, manage inventory, and monitor for damages. Additionally, they are responsible for maintaining the yard by keeping service areas clear of debris, waste, and snow, and by adhering to health and safety standards and procedures.

Knowledge and training requirements

• Knowledge of building materials is an asset; 


• Hold a forklift operator's license and propane card, an asset; 


• Hold a Class G driver's license, an asset; 


• Have a good command of the English language, both oral and written. 

Working conditions

• Salary offered according to experience and internal equity;
• Weekday and Saturday shifts.
• Standing work environment with frequent movement;
• Variable work schedule;
• Loads up to 75 pounds to lift
