Yard Person

Southern Irrigation is actively looking for a Full-Time Yard Person position for our Chilliwack, BC location. The successful candidate should excel in attention to detail, have good communication skills, and a positive attitude. 

Job Title: Yard Person

Compensation: $25-$35/hr depending on skills and experience

Location: 43645 Industrial Way, Chilliwack, BC

Job purpose: This position’s primary responsibility is to work with the Logistics team, working in the pipe yard organizing and storing inventory.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized yard


• Operate various types of forklifts to unload/load pipe, septic tanks, concrete risers/basins, filter fabric rolls, etc.


• Accept deliveries in yard and stage for receiving team


• Store product in designated location


• Pull items from yard inventory, preparing and staging to load customers’ orders efficiently and accurately


• Assist with warehouse tasks, including but not limited to as needed:
  
  
  
  • Loading and unloading customers and stock deliveries
  
  
  • Receiving and putting away goods
  
  
  • Pulling and checking orders
  
  
  • Band pipes together
