Job Description - Yoga/Health Fitness Instructor - Summer Role

Reporting directly to the Manager of Community programs, the Yoga Instructor will include the following:
Deliver chair yoga class for one hour twice a week including prep time, and check-in's with the team and manager
Ensure the safety of participants during exercise, adapt programming and exercise to meet mobility and capability levels,
Respond appropriately to emergency and first aid incidents
Build community relationships with participants to create belonging long-term relationships
Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal support
Function as a positive role model by demonstrating YMCA core values (honesty, caring, inclusiveness, responsibility, respect).
We'd love to hear from people with:
A valid health and exercise certification including: Yoga Instructor courses 100hr/200hr, BCRPA and CFES, CSEP
Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C
Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle
Experience teaching yoga and chair yoga is an asset
Communication skills and experience working with seniors
