Job Description - Young Adult Ministries Lead

Organizational Mission


The Good News Broadcasting Association of Canada (GNBAC) is seeking a person to fulfill a contract role of one-year for  Back to the Bible Canada which exists to faithfully teach the Bible with clarity and relevance to bring people into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. The Young Adult Ministry Lead will support this mission by leading the development and delivery of discipleship-focused multimedia content and outreach to young adults across Canada. The position has the potential to be renewed at the end of the one-year term.



Position Summary


The Young Adult Ministry Lead is responsible for the strategic creation and execution of multimedia ministry initiatives focused on young adult discipleship (ages 18–30). This individual will oversee the development of biblically-based programs and resources, manage ministry-specific social media strategies, cultivate partnerships, participate in fundraising efforts, and represent the ministry at public events.

This role includes content development, leadership in digital outreach, and administrative oversight, including budget control. The position is primarily in-house, with flexibility for some hybrid work, and requires the ability to travel for ministry events, partnership development, and donor engagement.



Key Responsibilities Program & Resource Development


·       Design, implement, and manage innovative discipleship programs tailored to young adults.


·       Develop and deliver multimedia resources (videos, podcasts, discipleship resources, etc.).


·       Ensure theological soundness and cultural relevance in all resources.


Content Strategy & Social Media Oversight


·       Lead the direction and development of the ministry’s young adult social media presence.


·       Work with Marketing Coordinator to create or oversee content calendars, posting strategies, and platform engagement.


·       Monitor analytics and engagement data to refine outreach strategies.


Ministry Partnerships & Representation


·       Build and maintain strategic partnerships with churches, campus ministries, and Christian organizations.


·       Represent the ministry at public events, conferences, and outreach activities.


·       Discover and engage in joint initiatives and co-branded discipleship tools with like-minded, like-hearted ministries.


Fundraising & Donor Engagement


·       Support donor relations and fundraising initiatives.


·       Assist with development of proposals for donors and granting agencies.


·       Participate in donor visits and activities.


Administrative


·       Ensure responsible stewardship of all program funds and resources.


Internal Collaboration


·       Maintain a strong working relationship with the Creative and Communications Team.


·       Collaborate across departments to align ministry vision and execution with organizational goals.


Qualifications


·       A committed Christian who affirms the mission and statement of faith of Back to the Bible Canada.


·       Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Ministry, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).


·       3+ years of experience in Christian ministry, preferably with young adults or digital discipleship.


·       Strong biblical foundation and ability to communicate truth into contemporary issues.


·       Experience in social media strategy and/or digital content production.


·       Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.


·       Ability to travel for ministry events, donor engagement, and partnerships.


Work Environment


• Full-time contract position based at the  GNBAC office, with some flexibility for hybrid work.
• Occasional evening/weekend work and the ability to participate on occasion in both domestic and international travel. (All parts of the BC Employment Standard Act are strictly adhered to in terms of hours of work and overtime etc.)
