About the Program:
Our Aurora Program is seeking a full-time candidate for the role of Youth Care Counsellor.
Are you passionate about helping those in your community and making a lasting impact on someone’s life? We are currently seeking dedicated Youth Care Counsellor who will serve as positive role models to support, lead, and encourage young people. You will have the chance to model healthy relationships, encourage positive behavior, and design activities to promote the overall welfare of participants, all while increasing your knowledge of trauma-informed care and therapeutic programming. Role and Responsibilities:
Must have
· Degree or 2 Year Diploma in Child and Youth Care, or related human services field.
· Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License
· Driver’s Abstract
· Clear Criminal Records Check
· Clear Children’s Service Intervention Record Check.
· Vehicle Insurance stating $2 million liability and access to a reliable vehicle
Hiring Assets
· Knowledge of supporting youth struggling with Mental Health concerns and High-Risk lifestyles
· Experience as a childcare worker, support worker, addictions/mental health worker
