As a CARF accredited agency, FSJACL boasts a professional staff team of over 80 employees dedicated to offering quality services and opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities. Collaboration with community partners is integral to achieving the organization's vision of inclusion for all.

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Youth Forensic Clinician to join our mental health team.

This position is part of the Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services (YFPS) program — a provincial initiative that provides specialized mental health assessment and treatment for youth involved with the criminal justice system.
As a Youth Forensic Clinician, you’ll work in a job-share position with another FSJACL clinician to deliver trauma-informed, evidence-based care. You will provide clinical support, assessment, and intervention for youth to help improve their mental and behavioral health outcomes while contributing to safer, stronger communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical assessment, treatment, and support for youth referred through YFPS.
  • Collaborate with justice partners, families, and community services to develop holistic care plans.
  • Document and maintain case notes in accordance with program and organizational standards.
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing professional development.

Hours: 17.5 hours per week
Wage: $40–$50 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Location: Fort St. John area, with travel to Dawson Creek as required
Employment Type: Permanent full-Time

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
  • Reliable transportation for travel within the region
  • Experience in youth mental health, forensics, or trauma-informed practice is an asset.

At FSJACL, we believe in supporting our team the same way we support our community — with care, respect, and opportunity. You’ll join a collaborative and compassionate organization that values your expertise and invests in your professional well-being.

We thank all interested candidates for their applications!
