Assistant Store Manager

Goodness Me! is currently seeking an experienced and customer-focused Assistant Store Manager for our Waterloo Store location. Your day-to-day Reporting to the Store Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the running of a well-managed and visually appealing store, with a focus on sales, labour, and waste targets.

• Ensure unparalleled customer satisfaction, product quality assurance, store maintenance, and health and safety compliance.
• Manage the Cashiers and cash office.
• Assist with recruitment for all departments
• Collaborate to ensure the store achieves its financial targets
• Facilitate training and uphold company standards and procedures
• Coach and mentor employees to develop leaders
• Maintain broad product knowledge and ability to increase basket size
• Flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

What you bring:

• 3-5 years management experience.
• Experience working in a grocery retailer.
• Experience in maintaining operational excellence in retail stores (payroll, shrink and inventory management, etc).
• A solid understanding of sales forecasts for establishing key targets for the departments.
• Proven leadership qualities and experience developing and leading team members.
