Copywriter and Content Specialist

W e a re seeking an adventurous candidate with a creative mind that will propel our brand voice and content forward. The primary responsibility of the Copywriter and Content Specialist is supporting the marketing team in the production of engaging written work and creative concepting . Reporting to the Copywriting & Content Manager , our Copywrit er & Content Specialist will represent Pursuit’s iconic and unforgettable attractions, hotels and experiences across all distribution channels .  They will write , review and edit an array of content , including editorial stories and social media captions , while also taking on a variety of copywriting tasks, including emails, campaigns, websites and digital ads.

Please note this is a contract position for 6 months, from July 1st until December 31st 2024 (could start sooner if the ideal candidate is found)

An annualized salary of 60,000 CAD paid out Bi weekly

This is a fixed term position, so health benefits would not be provided and vacation would be paid out at a standard 4%

Primary Responsibilities  

• Support the Copywriting & Content Manager through written content creation 

• Provide a variety of copywriting services, including website development, social media ad creation, email marketing composition and other tasks as assigned 

• Write concise and error-free copy that aligns with established brand voices 

• Review and edit existing copy for various content platforms 

• Contribute to content brainstorms and develop creative concepts 

• Actively stay on top of content trends and best practices 

• 2+ years writing experience, preferably with some marketing experience

• University degree or college diploma in Communications, Marketing or Journalism

• Exceptional writing skills and a solid understanding of copy editing 

• Experience in interviewing and journalistic storytelling considered an asset 

• Competent in Microsoft Office 

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, supporting a variety of distinct businesses 

• Ability to travel with valid passport (can be obtained post-hire, but will be required)
