Full Stack Developer II, Technology Platforms - Brampton, ON

As a Developer II you will work alongside a team of self-motivated and well-respected team members building high-value analytical products and platforms. We are responsible for bringing modern enterprise systems to life and need your help to make it all happen. An excellent opportunity to grow your software engineering abilities while contributing to GCP solutions built the right way - clean code that is unit tested and pushed through complete CI/CD processes. We are looking for people that are passionate about what they do and want to progress their career as part of a forward-thinking team.

What You'll Do:

  • Build solutions from the scratch for the given problem statement.

  • Deliver high-quality features that have been thoroughly tested and meet acceptance criteria.

  • Mentor junior engineers to help them deepen their capability, speed of delivery and quality of code.

  • Collaborate with team leads and business stakeholders across Loblaw Technology & Analytics practice and provide an input on technical achievability of problem being solved.

  • Contribute to our growing feature sets in our products built in Typescript and Python

  • Navigate complex problem spaces, bringing clarity and concise representations of the multitude of factors involved.

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable software applications.

What You Bring

  • Experience in end-end (e2e) Full Stack development, encompassing both front-end and back-end development.

  • Proficiency in writing self-explanatory, clean code with a focus on maintainability and readability.

  • Strong knowledge of programming languages such as TypeScript /React/ Python and SQL.

  • Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving skills to effectively analyze complex problems and identify appropriate solutions.

  • ML/DATA engineering is an asset

  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipeline deployment on Kubernetes or similar platforms and Microservice architect.

  • Strong inter-personal skills including ability to work in multi-functional environment.
