What You’ll Do It’s safe to say, there’s no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key accountabilities of the role:

• This position is responsible for supporting, improving, and promoting TJX Canada’s health and safety policies and procedures while assisting in the identification, prevention, elimination and/or control of workplace hazards. This includes ongoing maintenance of the company’s health and safety programs and assisting with the development of OHS policies, procedures, and programs in Home Office. This position will also be responsible for gathering and analyzing enterprise-wide Health & Safety metrics and trends to provide the H&S COE with actionable data and insights through the delivery of prioritized data, dashboards, and reports to reduce workplace incidents and mitigate risk
• Assist with the development and implementation of safety programs and encourage People Leader and Associate involvement and accountability at Home Office
• Investigate accidents, critical injuries or incidents with high potential for injury or property damage and recommend appropriate corrective measure, controls and /or program improvements as required
• Develop and maintain analytical resources and tools for the H&S COE and deliver regular enterprise-wide and operationally-specific analysis through prioritized data, dashboards, statistics, and reports to H&S COE partners to action

What You’ll Need To begin your career with us, we require the following:

• Minimum of 2-3 years as a safety professional. A professional Safety designation (NCSO, CRSP) would be considered an asset
• Strong knowledge of Canadian occupational health and safety legislation related to the retail and industrial environments
• Ability to interpret provincial legislation and regulations and apply policies and procedures
• Strong computer skills including knowledge of and ability to use computer software including Microsoft Office, databases, web-based tools, email, etc
• Experienced with hazard identification, investigation skills and managing corrective action plans

Salary Range: $73,190 - $102,410*/year

• This represents the expected hiring range and may not represent the full pay range for the position. The salary offered may be higher than the posted range depending on several factors such as relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
