We are currently searching for a superstar Houseperson to join our Housekeeping Team. This is a part time position with the potential of working up to 40 hours per week. Our ideal candidate would have an eye for detail and a personal standard of perfection, in providing a high cleaning standard that extends well beyond the fifth star. Our team of hardworking room attendants take great pride in ensuring our product shines, and exceeds our guests expectations of cleanliness and comfort. The ideal candidate would bring previous experience in the industry from another world class Hotel or resort, and fully understands quality standards of both room cleanliness and service excellence. JOB REQUIREMENTS Communicate with internal colleagues to advise and attend all the guest(s) service needs, items which require maintenance, issues or concerns in a prompt, proactive manner as appropriate
Clean and maintain public restrooms, public areas, back-of-house, and other assigned work areas within hotel and its surroundings using approved hotel products and equipment, to hotel housekeeping standards
Assist in the receiving of Housekeeping stock and prepare and maintain Housekeeping storage areas to Shangri-La standards of cleanliness and safety.
Provide waste removal and janitorial duties specific to special cleaning projects, as assigned.
Removes trash collected by room attendants from service areas.
Deliver towels, toiletries, cribs, roll-away beds and other requested items to the guest rooms.
Pickup clean linens and refill the par stock of linen on each floor pantry, as required.
Cleans rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom and shampoo machine.
Assist in the cleaning of guest rooms, including changing of sheets and removal of garbage
Sanitizes high touch point areas of the hotel including public areas, spa, health club and back of house, as required
Collects soiled linen for laundering, assisting in the hotel laundry, as required.
Assist other Housekeeping Colleagues with the preparation of guest rooms, as assigned
Assist room attendants with moving heavy furniture items, as required
Complete deep cleaning tasks, as assigned such as sweeping, mopping floors and washing windows
Clean all public areas as required following department standard operating procedures.
Report missing / found articles, damage or merchandise problems to the housekeeping supervisors.
Report all defects and damage to Housekeeping Management to ensure it is logged and actioned
Undertake other ad hoc related responsibilities, as required. The following is considered mandatory for this position:

Functional Competence – Safely work with cleaning chemicals, lift up to 50 lbs, stand, reach, grip and exert steady-paced mobility, able to push and pull carts or equipment weighing up to 250 lbs regularly throughout 8 hour shift
Operational Knowledge –Learn and follow SLa deliverables, SLV and Housekeeping service standards, programs, policies and procedures
Self motivation – Able to follow through on direction, with minimal supervision
Communication – Able to comprehend, read, write and speak English including workplace policies, job instruction, departmental and safety information
Problem solving –Able to prioritize, multi-task, help others; calmly, respectfully, creatively and successfully resolve problems, as required
Emotional maturity – Interacts with others in a respectful manner, with demonstrated qualities of sincerity, helpfulness, courtesy and humility
Ethical and professional conduct – Fulfills responsibilities with highest integrity
