Job Description

If you have the qualifications and drive to succeed, consider joining Canada Post’s highly collegial and talented Legal team. We’re looking for an enthusiastic lawyer with strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills to help deliver practical, business-focussed corporate and commercial legal services to a range of internal client groups.

Job Responsibilities

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Providing written and legal advice in a variety of inter-related areas, including:
    • Sales
    • Advertising and Marketing
    • Privacy
    • Information Management
    • Corporate Security
    • Digital Services
    • Retail Services
    • Financial Services
    • Regulatory Matters
    • Corporate Governance
    • Corporate Strategy
  • Reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and other materials, including:
    • Sales contracts
    • Data Licensing Agreements
    • Vendor questionnaires
    • Web Page content and Online Terms and Conditions

Qualifications

  • Membership in good standing with a provincial or territorial bar
  • 2 years’ relevant post-call experience
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English. Proficiency in written and spoken French is an asset.

Other Information

This position is currently based in Ottawa, but depending on the location of the successful candidate we may consider basing it in Montreal or Toronto.
