Central Alberta Co-op is hiring a full-time Liquor Division Manager at our administration office in Red Deer, Alberta. The Liquor Division Manager will will be responsible doing store visits to our seven Liquor locations, in Red Deer, Stettler, Innisfail, Spruce View and Lacombe to support our Liquor Managers. Full-time: 40 hours/week. Benefit eligible after 3 months. If you are coming from out of province, please remember you need to have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider. Availability requirements: Weekdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. What you’ll do: The Liquor Division Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Liquor division by supporting and creating organizational effectiveness and providing leadership within their operational functions. As a member of the senior management team, this position also contributes to the growth & development of the liquor division and the implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices. - You will be responsible for sales, margin, expenses, inventory and SPEH of liquor locations. - You will ensure all staff adhere to Co-op standards regarding: merchandising, signage, staff appearance, housekeeping, Health & Safety and Loss prevention. - You will actively make marketing efforts, adhere to advertising standards, and contribute input to division marketing plans. - You will lead the development of the tactical and strategic plan by researching and providing recommendations to senior management on trends and required strategies. - You will follow proper recruitment and orientation practices and ensure the administration of People & Culture policies to develop positive relationships with all employees. - You will assist liquor managers in developing a quality yearly staff training plan and to ensure that this is followed. - You will perform other duties as required by the Director, Operations (B2C). Qualifications: - Retail experience is considered an asset. - Business diploma or degree would be an asset and 5+ years of experience in a leadership or management role or a combination of experience and education will be considered. - Experience in overseeing and monitoring client satisfaction levels. - Experience in coaching and providing feedback to other team members. - Ability to control operational costs, maximize operational efficiency through increased sales and margins. - Experience with growth and development planning.
