Job Description



We are currently seeking a highly skilled ‘ Senior Network Architect I ’ to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, deployment, troubleshooting, and ongoing support of Freedom's Corporate Network Infrastructure. You will work closely with a team of professionals to ensure the seamless operation of the infrastructure, which includes FreedomMobile’s Headquarters, Engineering switch sites, FreedomMobile retail locations, and Data Centers, using cutting-edge network technologies. We are seeking a candidate who possesses a strong sense of self-motivation and can work independently or collaboratively with professionals from various teams and project managers. In addition, the ideal candidate should possess excellent multitasking abilities and demonstrate strong time management skills. Proficiency in creating network documentation and diagrams is also a key requirement for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, and implement network solutions for Data center, Corporate and Retail infrastructure while following industry standards and best practices.
  • Support the delivery of strategic roadmaps to evolve the enterprise network infrastructure portfolio and provide subject matter expertise as roadmaps are planned and implemented.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams, Business Units, and Stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective network solutions.
  • Lead complex projects ensure coordination and communication are clear and concise.
  • Act as the technical lead in major incidents affecting the network, responsible for identifying the underlying root cause and all remediation activities.
  • Conduct network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose network issues and demonstrate the ability to solve complex problems that involve multiple variables.
  • Manage wired and wireless services for a network that serves our internal Corporate and Retail employees.
  • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of existing network hardware and software.
  • Responsible for capacity planning/management, performance monitoring, and network configuration management.
  • Monitor and optimize network stability and performance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation on designs, hardware/software inventory, and operations.
  • Utilize ITIL processes effectively for all necessary changes and requests.
  • Initiate vendor TAC cases and work with TAC engineers towards resolution.
  • Develop and implement network policies, procedures, and standards.

Qualifications



Skills & Certifications:

  • Strong understanding of networking protocols and standards (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS)
  • Relevant certifications such as CCIE, CCNP or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in cloud networking solutions (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills .
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

:

  • 5+ experience in network design and architecture.
  • Proven experience with network infrastructure technologies such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, authentication servers and wireless systems.
    • Layer 2 Technologies: VLANs, VPCs, MPLS, WLAN
    • Layer 3 Protocols: OSPF, BGP, ISIS, VxLANs
    • Security Protocols: ACLs, NATs, and IPSec & SSL VPNs
    • Authentication Protocols: TACACS+, RADIUS
  • Hands-on experience on devices like:
    • Cisco IOS & NX-OS Routers and Switches(ASR1k, ISR4k, Cat 9k, N5k/7k/9k)
    • Security Appliances – Palo Alto, Juniper SRX, ASA 55xx, FPR2k and FPR4k
    • F5 BIG-IP LTM
    • Cisco & Aruba Wireless controller and APs
    • Meraki MX, MS, and MR devices
  • Experience with SD-WAN and network virtualization technologies.
  • Ability to analyze the above technologies using Wireshark to identify network connectivity versus application issues.
  • Experience with network management and monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices and frameworks.
  • Ability to work on-call or non-standard business hours as needed.
