Job Description - Outside Sales/Account Manager

As an Auto Parts Account Manager, you will be selling Heavy Duty/Truck Parts to Fleets, independent repair shops, independent contractors, wholesalers and retailers within the territory from Niagara region to Hamilton Ontario. This is an outside sales position that will be a combination of managing an existing account base while also hunting for net new business which offers a $65,000 base salary plus uncapped commissions, monthly car allowance with many other perks! COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
  • Base Salary: $65,000
  • First-year OTE: $75,000-$80,000
  • Second-year OTE: $90,000 - $100,000

  • Headquarters office - Kirkland, Washington, US
  • Regional branch office - Stoney Creek, ON
  • 3-4 days in the field as an Outside Sales role
  • Sales territory is Niagara region to Hamilton Ontario
EXPERIENCE, BACKGROUND & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • 3+ years of Outside sales experience
  • Experienced in selling Automotive parts or Automotive/heavy trucks
  • Mechanical experience or aptitude is strongly preferred
  • Required own reliable vehicle
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
  • Basic office applications
  • Experience with CRM system
THE PRODUCT / SERVICE / SOLUTION : Heavy-duty truck parts PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS / INDUSTRY FOCUS / DECISION-MAKER(S): Purchasing Department, Mid-Management, Senior Leadership (VP/Director Level) at Fleets, independent repair shops, independent contractors, wholesalers and retailers SALES CYCLE / PRODUCT VALUE / ACCOUNT SIZE:
  • Average order size varies from account
  • The selling cycle is usually from days to 2 months

  • New business development: 25%

LEADS:
  • 50% Prospecting/Cold Calling
  • 50% following up on warm Leads
OVERNIGHT TRAVEL: 2 - 3 times a year for Trade shows and Training SUPPORT & TRAINING:
  • Classroom/Online
  • Job Shadowing/Joint sales calls
  • Mentoring
  • Off-site training (Supplier tours, etc),
  • Work internally for a period of time
