Pharmacist – Richmond
Are you a Pharmacist looking to use your clinical skills while working in a supportive team-oriented environment? Pharmasave Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is hiring a full-time Pharmacist starting May 2024. We are a well-established community pharmacy serving North Vancouver. We are looking for an energetic and caring individual who wishes to practice in a community pharmacy environment. This is a unique location that delivers care to both the local community at YVR and also three remote communities in Northern BC and Yukon via our telepharmacy services. Hours of operation are 9am-5pm Monday through Friday, closed weekends and Holidays.
Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Checking prescriptions for accuracy
Conduct medication reviews and other professional services
Collaborate with other members of the pharmacy team
Dispensing medications to clients, and inform them of side effects
Performing clinical services (medication/vaccine administration, medication reviews, prescription adaptations)
Providing patient counselling
Completing appropriate documentation
Other duties as required
Provide pharmacological information by responding to all healthcare professionals in the patient’s circle of care
Provide information on medication regimens including counselling on prescriptions and over the counter/behind the counter products
Ensure all documentation is maintained in accordance with legislation and standards of practice including narcotic and controlled drug records
Participate in inventory control processes ensuring accurate perpetual inventory records
Support the Pharmacy Management in supervision and training of support staff
Engage and participate in expanded scope of Professional Services ensuring patient focused services as deemed appropriate for the patient
Qualifications
Licensed and in good standing with the BC College of Pharmacists
Injection certification
Concise communicator and works well collaboratively
Proficient in pharmacy software systems (Kroll) and technology
Detail-oriented and utilizes time well
