Job Description - Principal Product Designer

What we are looking for

 

At Dealer-FX, user experience is at the forefront of our product design. The automotive landscape is ever-evolving, and we need a seasoned Principal Product Manager who is adaptable and excited about developing products that significantly impact thousands of people daily.

 

In this senior individual contributor role, you will harness your extensive experience to guide products from conception to launch by seamlessly connecting the technical and business worlds. You will tackle complex problems, articulate and execute product visions, and drive product development with a high degree of autonomy and leadership.

 

  • Define and drive the overall product vision and strategy for your area, setting a standard of excellence and innovation.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure your product strategies align with the broader business objectives.
  • Spearhead the development of product roadmaps, focusing on delivering solutions that incorporate user needs, business priorities, and technological capabilities.
  • Lead product design and development initiatives, owning the product lifecycle from inception through execution and iteration.
  • Act as a thought leader within the company, influencing product decisions and strategic directions based on deep industry knowledge and market trends.
  • Collaborate with engineering, marketing, legal, UX, and other teams to leverage cutting-edge technologies and ensure the successful launch and scaling of products.

Minimum qualifications:

 

  • 6+ years of Product Management experience, with substantial expertise in leading large-scale and complex product initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to function as a top-level contributor and leader in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
  • Extensive experience through the entire software development lifecycle, with a proven track record of successful product launches.

 

Preferred qualifications:

 

  • Advanced degree in a technology, business, or related field.
  • Over a decade of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales, finance, and other key stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence decision-making at all organizational levels.
