Job Summary
As a Catering Supervisor, you will:
- Be handling catering enquiries, work with event organizer to create a food and beverage menu that is suitable for the event.
- Create banquet event order in system and communicate with event organizers close to event date to confirm all details (menu, service requirement, time and etc)
- Work with other catering coordinator to ensure banquet event orders are created in proper manner and follow all internal and external guidelines
- Issue banquet event orders to kitchens, FOH and EO binder
- Plan FOH staffing for all service requirement to meet all service delivery and clearing time
- Work as a lead server when necessary
- Organize and arrange PID for each event
- Quality check for all catering events before, during and end of service to ensure all setting and food & beverage are presented, served and displayed per standard.
- Participate in weekly BEO meetings to confirm all details for next week events such as logistics and other ad hoc items.
- Assist with finalizing invoices and billing
- Back up for barista and bistro services
About you:
- High school diploma, college or university degree or relevant work experience
- Minimum 2 years of solid experience in a catering planning and execution role
- Supervisory experience to lead FOH service
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, with the ability to learn new software
- Able to communicate effectively and proactively with staff and customers with good interpersonal skill (verbal and written)
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends
- Knowledge of catering software be an asset
