Job Description - Retail Associate

Reporting to the Retail Sales Manager, the Retail Sales Associate is responsible for marketing Retail merchandise to guests, stocking the retail area and checking and retrieving guest’s coats.

  • Responsible for handling money, and for providing accurate change in a fast-paced environment
  • Warmly greets everyone that arrives at Rock Shop and is knowledgeable about all areas of the business
  • Responsible for selling Hard Rock gear.
  • Must possess the ability to maintain visual attention and mental concentration for significant periods of time
  • Must possess order-entry skills
  • Windows based software proficiency preferred
  • Must have exceptional guest service skills
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must possess basic math skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and other team members
  • Lives the Brand

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to obtain a Category 2 license with the AGCO
  • Previous retail / cash experience is an asset

 

SKILLS

  • Must have a friendly and outgoing personality.
  • Ability to work independently and willingness to learn.
  • Must be able to work at a rapid pace, while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Able to handle stress arising from management of operations and volume of work.
  • Must maintain a character of professionalism and communicate through appropriate lines of communication.
  • Knowledge of property’s amenities and services offered.
  • Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing.
  • Must be able to make change properly.
  • Must possess good math skills
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to be punctual and meet deadlines
  • Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as a part of a team
  • Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a professional office setting, but there may be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, excessive noise.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to walk distances.
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, and loud/noisy environment.
