About Us: Klo Lab is your local friendly fabricator, specializing in friction-fit furniture & plastic fabrication. Our wheelhouse includes custom retail furniture & fixtures, custom panels, and plastic fabrication. We've been delivering top-notch custom solutions to our clients for 14 years.

Your Role: As a Fabrication Shop Helper, you'll be an essential part of our team, supporting the fabrication process from start to finish. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with various tasks, including sanding and preparing parts for assembly
• Helping the Machinist with loading sheet materials on to the CNC
• Receiving and unloading materials delivered to the shop
• Preparing materials and workstations for woodworking projects, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the workshop
• Completing quality control by double checking measurements and specs of projects before pick up or delivery
• Checking and weighing materials and products
• Finishing and staining wood
• Prepping and packing orders for pick up and shipping
• Collaborating closely with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
• Assembling furniture & plexiglass plinths and boxes

Qualifications:

• Highschool diploma and post secondary education
• A valid driver's license
• Previous experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment (minimum 1 year)
• Experience with laser engravers is not required but is an asset
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn and adapt
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with colleagues
• Dedication to safety and following established procedures and guidelines

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract, SeasonalContract length: 12 months

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 35 per week
