Counter Sales Representative / Warehouse Associate

Adecco is currently hiring a temporary full-time Counter Sales Representative / Warehouse Associate to work for our client in Burnaby, BC. In this role, a portion of activities will be related to inside (Counter)sales functions and the rest warehousing functions.

• Pay rate: $23.00/hour

• Location: Burnaby, BC

• Shifts: 8:30am – 4:30pm

• Job type: Temporary | Full-time | 3-month contract

Responsibilities:

• Suggests selections that meet customer’s needs, and emphasize selling points of article such as quality and utility.

• Prepare Sales slip.

• Contacts customers in timely manner on printed pick-up orders.

• Processes customer returns.

• Place new merchandise on display.

• Reviews and maintains counter inventory levels.

• Keep counter area clean.

• Recommends new stock items by completing necessary forms.

• Maintains security of cash drawer and shipping ticket audit copies.

• Keeps abreast of new products.

• Complies with company policies and procedures.

• Provides backup to Warehouse Associate when required, including receiving and storing product, picking product, and preparing shipments

• Identifies ways for continuous improvement of processes / supports LEAN process

• Fully supports Safety measures

Qualifications:

• Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada

• Proficient in written and spoken English

• Knowledge of French is an asset.

• Attention to detail as role involves working with parts

• Physical fi t and able to lift weights up to 50 lbs.

• Stepladder of less than 4 feet in use if required.

• Roles requires to help in the warehouse when work slow at the counter and involves shipping and receiving.

• Experience in Forklift an asset

• Previous sales experience an asset
