Job Description - Director of Sales

Are you a hospitality guru looking to venture into a sales position? Look no further!Our client, one of the leading development and management companies in hospitality is currently searching for a remarkable Director of Sales for their Brantford location. The ideal candidate will be engaged, authentic, and prepared to positively impact the business. Director of Sales Responsibilities:
  • Carries the direct responsibility for top line revenue
  • Lead the effort to solicit and grow individual business travel, and extended stay project commitments from local, national, and international corporations and group commitments from Sporting, Education, Corporate, Entertainment, and Association organizations through a variety of different sales techniques.
  • Organize and execute personal/virtual sales calls and communicate directly with guests and travel influencers via email, phone calls, onsite connections, etc.
  • Committing the hotel’s product and services within agreed pricing and service parameters.
  • Organizing and completing up-to-date records covering client communication, commitments, and results tracking.
  • Ability to develop creative solutions in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Manager-on-duty responsibilities, at times, will also be required.
Director of Sales Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently to drive performance, while providing strong leadership and guidance to other team members to maximize results.
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a customer-facing or sales role, with demonstrated communication skills and the ability to multi-task with strict deadlines.
  • High proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook required, along with savvy online & social media skills.
  • Specific background within the Hospitality Industry and proficiency with Opera PMS are strong assets.
  • This role requires travel to attend workshops, trade shows, brand meetings, etc.
  • Might be required at times to work nights, weekends and/or holidays as well as support other departments such as Front Office, and Food & Beverage as required.
