Job Description - Principal Research Strategist

Principal Research Strategist Location Toronto, ON : Toronto or Vancouver, ON, Canada Full Time Sales Senior Manager/Supervisor

Principal Research Strategist

As Alida's Principal Research Strategist , you'll be an integral part of our organization, being a thought-leader throughout the sales process by articulating and demonstrating how Alida's solution solves business challenges and delivers positive business outcomes for our customers. You are a subject matter expert in market research and UX, and have proven success working both in a client facing capacity in a busy consultative role, and in-house building and leading research programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Professional Services teams, to identify prospects' business goals and initiatives, to guide sales proposals and presentations;
  • Consult and partner with various client stakeholders from C-Suite Executives to Researchers to maximize the quality and value of the insights they garner from Alida's solution;
  • Act as a subject matter expert for prospects and customers and assist them with developing a successful, outcome based research strategy;
  • Develop a deep familiarity of the Alida's platform and relevant use cases;
  • Demonstrate understanding and value of market and customer experience research methodologies conducted via the Alida Platform;
  • Inform the Product and Professional Services teams of trends, use cases, and business impact of how specific capabilities are delivering / not delivering against customers' business goals & objectives;
  • Engage in thought leadership and marketing related efforts, such as blogs, webinars, and public speaking.

Desired Experience:

  • Experience within a client-side environment leading research initiatives and scaling agile research;
  • Experience within a customer-facing or consultative firm and understanding of how to articulate solutions to win business;
  • Thought leader in the market research industry, ideally bringing 15-20 years of experience;
  • Deep understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies;
  • Strong passion for CX practices, research, and technology;
  • Experience with our product is a plus!
  • Bring strategic thinking and business acumen to facilitate discussions with customers about business objectives and how research drives their success;
  • A consultative approach to problem-solving, able to push back on customers where needed to reframe their problems and guide them to solutions;
  • Excellent written and oral communication, persuasion, storytelling, and compelling presentation skills;
  • Willing to travel to customer on-sites.

Additional details:

  • The final salary for this role will depend on experience, with the range in the US being $160,000-190,000 USD and in Canada $160,000-175,000 CAD.
  • We are open to applicants across Canada and the US, however our focus locations are Toronto, Vancouver, New York or Seattle.
