WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Analyze processes and implement systems within the department and collaboratively across the organization that improve overall business performance.
- Own and drive departmental KPI’s, deadlines, processes and efficiencies that foster a culture of accountability.
- Internally, review bid requests in conjunction with the Inside Sales Manager and Executive Vice President.
- Externally, communicating daily with our global team and supply chain to obtain pricing for on-time to meet client expectations, as well as leading the strategic analysis of all quotations and proposals for review by Vice-Presidents for margin and factory selection at final stages.
- Orchestrate and assign incoming quotation requests.
- Oversee maintenance of customer information and project database in CRM as well as ongoing Pricing Index.
- Creating new supplier relationships as needed, and liaise with all suppliers in regard to pricing as final point for budgetary negotiations.
- Partnering with our overseas team (Asia) when beneficial to the project Collaborate and support our Clients and Sales Representatives when required on a given sale.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
- Team oversight and leadership; ability to collaborate inter-departmentally
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Ability to take initiative, balance multiple tasks and work strategically; with a focus on
meeting deliverables
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Experience with furniture bidding and manufacturing is an asset – especially with offshore vendors, specifically in Asia
- Proficient knowledge of SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft and Google Suites
- Completion of post-secondary diploma
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience working in a related leadership role or equivalent
