CAREER OPPORTUNITY: Sales & Category Development Manager
Reporting to: General Manager/Store operations Manager
Role Specific Accountabilities include, but are not limited to the following:
On a daily basis you will be responsible for:
- Regularly meet with retail managers while conducting market visits (Supervisors, Store managers, Merchandiser manager) to identify opportunities.
- Benchmark our product mix with the competition while identifying the optimal retail price and vendor to source from.
- Ensure the Rabba product mix answers to the demographics within the GTA, and the convenience plus industry standards.
- List products from vendors to be available at Rabba, while ensuring their categorization into LBOSS is correct.
- Negotiate minimum orders requirements with vendors to reduce waste.
- Set retail zone pricing for Rabba and ensure margin targets are met.
- Promote essential products regularly to drive sales and traffic while ensuring promotions are communicated to the consumer.
- Execute monthly in store features to drive sales in line with the season/events/holidays occurring.
- Analyze Rabba store sales results by category/department and develop a plan to drive growth and profit.
- Understand the systems/software available at Rabba (i.e. Lboss, Bizerba, Ishida, etc.) and ensure they are all price matching.
- Maintain current knowledge of competitors and market industry trends.
- Other duties as assigned.
Educational /Technical Experience:
- Post Secondary education in business management is preferred
- 2-3 years' experience in the grocery industry
- Microsoft Office experience preferred (Intermediate Excel skills required)
- Valid “G” license in good standing
