Allied Cans Limited is a Grupo Comeca company based in Ontario, Canada. Allied Cans is one of the leading industrial can manufacturers in North America, and the only general can line, and UN rated steel pail manufacturer in Canada. Our Milton, ON plant specializes in the manufacturing of cans and pails for the paint, coatings, adhesives, sealants, and chemicals industries.

The Role

The Sales Manager will lead the sales of the company in USA and Canada. This position will be responsible for the overall sales pipeline, as well as coaching the sales and customer service team to drive sales excellence and growing existing accounts, and to advise on the use of the products offered. This role will work closely with the General Manager to secure future sales and expand relationships.

What You Will Do

Business Development Process

· Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure exceptional service and identification of potential new sales opportunities

· Conduct calls and face-to-face meetings with customers

· Develop medium and long-term sales plans, including territory plans and pricing

· Evaluate, adjust, and manage sales pipeline through timely and accurate reporting

· Meet individual and sales team, monthly and annual sales quotas through the successful implementation of sales strategies and tactics

· Analyze information related to market intelligence (market and competition), and make informed decisions regarding competitor behaviors, products, and market conditions

· Establish and adjust sales prices by monitoring costs, competitors, and supply and demand indicators

· Develop and deliver quotes, proposals, RFPs, sales presentations, and product samples

· Lead the sales team in achieving overall sales goals and empower the sales representatives to proactively service their accounts and increase sales

· Travel within the different sales territories to meet prospects and customers

Customer Service process

· Assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services, and solutions

· Work with the logistics department to ensure the company ships on time and in full the quantities and dates agreed with the customers

· Respond to customer requirements in terms of quality, quantity and agreed delivery times

· Lead and resolve with the management team the queries of the clients related to the credit conditions, prices, delivery balances and claims

· Coordinate with other areas of the company training visits, and customer complaints when required

Sales Planning Process

· Obtain information on customer needs through forecasts that allow us to determine the necessary materials for production and understand the growth drivers of customers’ business

· Plan and supply the information of the customers’ needs with the objective of elaborating the analysis of the monthly sales budget

· Develop strategies to maintain and increase sales with current clients and diversify the client portfolio

· Approve requisitions of promotional materials required for the area

· Responsible for the monthly and year-end sales forecasts, and sales budget control

· Attend Trade Shows to keep current on latest trends in the industry

Knowledge & Qualifications

Experience of industrial sales or distribution sales with packaging products preferred.

Proven leadership experience

Must be able to communicate exceptionally well over the phone, in person and in writing

Sales oriented and analytical thinker
